Teaching
Teacher of Violin & Viola
Permanent, Part-Time, Term-Time Only

The Peterborough School is seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspiring Teacher of Violin and Viola to contribute to the School's thriving music tradition across both our Preparatory and Senior School. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain and enhance the high standards of music tuition and musical activity on offer at The Peterborough School.
Music is a key strength of the School, with a wide range of opportunities for individual and ensemble performance in the Orchestra, Bands, Instrumental Ensembles and Choirs. We pride ourselves on the quality of our individual music teaching. Over 100 individual music lessons are taught weekly, covering orchestral instruments, band instruments and singing.
The department has an excellent academic record at GCSE and A Level. Pupils sit Associated Board, MTB and Trinity music examinations each term, with the majority achieving merits or distinctions.
The Peterborough School has a strong Christian foundation, and we are fortunate to have a Chapel to use for some of our concerts and events. A significant part of The Peterborough School music programme involves pupils participating in a number of public events in Cathedrals and other venues both locally and nationally.
The Music Department enjoys the use of a number of practice rooms and a classroom containing a full suite of computers equipped with Sibelius software and MIDI keyboards, for use in composition and harmony classes.

Catering Assistant
Permanent, Part-Time, Term-Time Only
Salary: £12.21ph
Start Date: February 2026
The Peterborough School is seeking to appoint a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our Catering Team. We are looking for a Catering Assistant to work on a Permanent, Part-Time basis, during Term-Time only, between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00, Monday to Friday.
You will assist with the preparation and serving of meals in the main school dining facility, receive, organise and store stock deliveries, cater for a wide range of allergies and dietary requirements with care and attention and maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes, cutlery, utensils, and equipment.

Minibus Drivers
Permanent, Term-Time Only, Relief
Salary: £12.21ph
Start Date: ASAP
The Peterborough School is seeking to appoint friendly, experienced individuals to undertake driving duties. We are looking for enthusiastic Minibus Drivers to work on a or Relief basis, as required during term time only, safely transporting our pupils to and from school or on school trips. You will ideally already hold a clean D1 driving licence* and be an experienced driver. Your route will vary to cover any absences. There will be opportunities for extra driving during the day. You may also be required to attend whole school staff training days, both of which will attract additional pay.
There is availability for a role with guaranteed hours for the Part-Time position and another role for an ad-hoc basis, but you may be needed for driving support between the hours of 06:00 and 19:00, Monday to Friday, Term-Time only.
*Applicants without D1 Licence will also be considered. There may be the opportunity to be supported with obtaining your D1 category licence during employment.
